My name is Sage Smith and I am an Early Childhood Education teacher. The purpose of my blog is to keep parents and family members of my students connected and up to date with what is happening in our classroom on a daily and weekly basis. I will post weekly about what is happening in our classroom. I will post pictures and children's work and feedback on different experiences we have as a class. I will also post weekly reminders as well of upcoming events in our classroom.
How could I as a teacher use my website to enhance my lessons or assignments? I feel like this website will help me enhance my lessons and assignments in various ways. For example, I think that through this blog I will be able to post what upcoming assignments are due. I could also post a summary of our lessons each week. This will be a great way to keep parents and guardians of my students up to date of what is happening in the classroom.
In what ways can having a website change and enhance a student's experience in my class? By having a website the students can feel like they can have an outlet to school when they are not in the classroom. They can go home and share visuals with their family and friends about concepts that they are learning within the classroom. A classroom website can give students a sense of pride and ownership for their education and contribution to their classroom.
